I start my puppies on Purina Puppy Chow with mother's milk. I recommend
that you continue the same food when you receive your new puppy.  I also
recommend the Rachel Rays new dog food as an alternative. If you change
your puppy's dog food, you need to mix  the new food with what the puppy is
currently eating and gradually make the change to prevent upset stomach.

  Whichever food you choose for your puppy, try to purchase a good quality
dog
food. Low quality dog food tends to have a lot of corn product and unhealthy
additives.
